Swine Flu

I'm sure almost all of you have heard of this year's swine flu outbreak. I think only one person has died from it in the U.S. so far, and that person was a baby. Today, I got a letter from my school district informing us about the out break and that confirmed illnesses have been received in the Tampa Bay Area. It told us to wash our hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often. And, if it continues, they might have to temporarily close schools.

In my opinion, I think people, health organizations, and the WHO (world health organization) are overreacting to this situation. For one, the swine flu is only as bad, give or take, as the seasonal flu. I heard you are more likely to get bitten by a alligator than get the swine flu. I also understand why some people are reacting some people would overreact is because now it is human-to-human instead of pig-to-human. Babies and elders are a lot more likely to die from it. Those are the reasons why I feel like people should not worry so much like they are now.

I would love to see your opinions and what you do to protect you and your family from the swine flu.
